On January 1st, 2012, Stick Rice launched a sushi roll into space. It draws a connection to provide a new perspective by placing two things, both of which humans need desperately to survive, against the backdrop of the cold, merciless vacuum of space. Food, from a delicate ecosystem, comprised of delicate life, grown to sustain our delicate bodies; and the very planet itself, without which all life must perish.
